Aba Kwawu’s path to the fashion industry was full of kicks and turns. In the first of a two-part interview, Joleen and Aba dive into her roots and the core values that made Aba the leader she is today. A first-generation Ghanaian immigrant, Aba’s love for the arts was considered more of a hobby than a career. While she absolutely excelled in genetics and public health, her true calling was fashion so she ditched science and became the only American student at the London College of Fashion.
